Privacy Policy

Effective October 26, 2026

This policy covers the games Straight Down and Connello, made by smAisle, an independent developer. It applies to the iPhone apps on the App Store and to the free versions you can play in a web browser at smaisle.github.io.

The short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is ever sold. Your scores and settings stay on your device. The iPhone apps don't send anything to us.

iPhone apps

Information we collect

None. The Straight Down and Connello iPhone apps do not collect, store or send any personal information to smAisle. They contain no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.

Stored on your device

Your settings, best scores, player initials and game history are saved only on your iPhone, so the game remembers them next time. Deleting the app deletes them.

Game Center

If you're signed in to Apple's Game Center, your scores can be posted to the game's leaderboards, where other players see them next to your Game Center nickname. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. smAisle can see the leaderboard entries, as any player can, but receives no other information about you. You can turn Game Center off in your iPhone's Settings.

In-app purchases

Purchases, such as unlocking multiplayer, are handled entirely by Apple. smAisle never sees your name, payment details or Apple Account; the app only learns whether the unlock has been bought.

Website versions

Connello

The browser version of Connello saves your settings and initials in your browser on your device. It doesn't send any game data anywhere.

Straight Down

The browser version of Straight Down asks you to agree to its terms before you play. After you agree:

This information is stored with Google Firebase, a cloud database service. Only smAisle can read the check-ins.

Hosting and fonts

The website is hosted by GitHub Pages, and its fonts load from Google Fonts. Like most websites, these services may receive your IP address and browser details when you load a page. See GitHub's privacy statement and Google's privacy policy.

Children

The games contain no ads, no chat and no way to contact other players. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has posted personal information as a leaderboard nickname, email us and we'll remove it.

Deleting your information

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what the apps collect, we'll update the app's App Store listing too.
